“Kitchen to fall in love with…passionately perfect…Rethinking kitchens as a living space!”, exclaims interior designer and founder of her namesake practice Anarr Gunjaria. When Hacker Kitchens, Ahmedabad approached them, her immediate reaction was one of passionate perfection. This sentiment resonated deeply with the company’s belief system and mirrored their own design philosophy.
In the initial meetings with the client, it became abundantly clear that the goal was to create an inviting and functional space that not only showcased various kitchen styles but also upheld the company’s brand identity and values. The primary objective was to craft a cohesive and recognizable experience.
The starting point for their design was the functionality of the kitchen space. To optimize the available area, Anarr strategically positioned the kitchen lengthwise, accentuating its clean style and providing an unobstructed view of the entire space.
A cosy reception lounge was meticulously designed, encouraging visitors to explore further and discover the intricacies of German engineering. The Hacker kitchen, seemingly simple yet meticulously designed with high-quality materials, effortlessly accommodated every lifestyle.
Upon entering the reception area, guests were welcomed by metal wall art, inviting them to explore Hacker kitchens, known for their individuality and attention to detail, all while prioritising sustainable business practices. Custom-made cane hanging lights and seating, coupled with a wall display panel showcasing the company’s 124 years of history, guided visitors toward the expansive 2600-square-foot kitchen display area. The floors, backsplashes, counters, and tabletops were adorned with the finest new nano concrete surfaces, creating a consistent and visually appealing atmosphere.
To accommodate multiple kitchen displays while ensuring ample space for customers to navigate comfortably, Anarr optimised the layout. The displays were arranged thoughtfully, highlighting different styles, themes, and functionalities. Every technical product was seamlessly integrated into the design, ensuring both functionality and aesthetics.
The focal point of the showroom was the two-tone blue island counter adorned with a cluster of cane hanging lights and Brazilian granite, serving as the heart of the space. The Oak fluted built-in cabinet complemented this central feature perfectly. All kitchen appliances harmonized with the overall color scheme, and each kitchen concept adhered to the design philosophy of the studio, characterized by generous proportions, exceptional details, a soft color palette, and the use of high-quality, functional, and timeless natural materials.
In addition to the five displayed kitchens, the design team curated a manager’s workspace and a conference library where visitors could discuss their requirements, review catalogs, and explore the extensive selection of materials and colors from the Hacker collection.
An in-house designer’s area was discreetly tucked behind the reception, adorned with Houseofbeserk’s bold art on the walls, refreshing the space. Even the small pantry and toilet spaces were meticulously planned, adding aesthetic appeal with well-crafted furniture.
Through the design of the Hacker kitchen space, Anarr Gunjaria Interiors aimed to convey that a kitchen was not merely a place for cooking; instead, it was a multifunctional space where guests could be received, and the rest of the day could be spent – reading a book, working from home, or simply enjoying moments with family.
